Few stand on the same plain of commitment and dedication towards forwarding the importance of art in our society to the younger generation. As senior artist, Akhtar Hilal Zuberi. After graduating from NCA in 1962 attaining his degree in Design, he soon knew his calling lay in academia. While teaching art at Public School Hyderabad for ten years and achieving his masters in Urdu Literature from Karachi University during this time, he moved to Libya to teach at the newly founded Benghazi University (1975-85). When he came back to Pakistan in 1985, he realized the lack of exposure the prospective student had to the art world. It is around this time he decided to take up the responsibility of enlightening students wishing to pursue their creative dreams and guide them towards their career paths. 25 years later, FACTS still remain true to this cause. Under Akhtar Zuberi's nurturing hands, hundreds of students have been inspired to take up the creative discipline of art and he enjoys the unique privilege of being one of the pioneers of founding an institution like FACTS in Karachi Facts

Fariha Amjad Ubaid
Prof.Fareeha Amjad Ubaid is an Architect, City Planner and Educator. She obtained B(Arch) from NCA, Lahore in 1995 and MCPUD from METU, Ankara in 1999. In addition to distinction from NCA, she is the recipient of several Prestigious Awards which include the Mehdi Ali Mirza Award and Sir Percy Brown Prize.
For past 10 years Prof.Fareeha Amjad has been working as Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture and Planning, NEDUET, Karachi.There she teaches courses in History and Theory, Urbanism and Design Studios and has also founded three research units namely; DRC ( Design and Research Cell ), HG ( The History Group ) and Archives. She has Published wiedely, served on professional committees and delivered key talks Internationally.
Besides teaching, Prof.Fareeha has also been running an Architectural practice since 199. Her design work has covered a broad range of projects which include educational institutional buildings, residences, office interoirs, urban design, schemes, product design and installation art.

Rizwan Ahmed Malik
After Graduating with a Bachelors degree in Communication Design from Indus Valley Scholl of Arts and Architecture in 2000, Rizwan Ahmed Malik worked as a Creative Writer at Prestige Communications for 2 years. He then went on to study film making at New York Film School, subsequently returning to Pakistan to pursue his passion for directing TVCs and documentaries. Rizwan worked as a Creative Director at Interflow Communications for 4 years before establishing his own advertising agency, RG Blue Communications.

Abdul Jabbar Khan
Abdul Jabbar has attained his bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in Sculpture from National College of Arts Lahore Pakistan (1993-96) and has studied Ceramics, Photography and Print Making. He has participated in a workshop by American painter Bill Drew on Renaissance painting technique, attended a workshop of pottery by local potters of Pakistan at CIAC Karachi and a sculpture workshop at French Center Islamabad in Collaboration with Egyptian Embassy against terrorism. Jabbar has also painted portraits for Government and private sector including a modeled portrait of late Justice Durab Patel for Human Rights Head Office. He worked as a freelance stage designer for several commercial shows and Annual function of National College of Arts.

Khurram Khan
Khurrum Khan completed his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Indus Valley School of Arts & Architecture (1996-99). He is teaching illustration at Indus Valley School (2000-02). He is also teaching in Karachi University, Visual Studies Department.

Madiha Arif
Madiha graduated from The National College of Arts (NCA) in 2008 with Bachelors in Fine Arts. In 2009 she joined Indus Valley School of art and Architecture where she taught Diploma courses.
Currently she holds a teaching position at NED University of Engineering and Technology in the Department of Architecture and Planning. Madiha has contributed to the world of image making to the best of her abilities, establishing herself as a practicing artist. Her goal is to provide the world with new thought provoking and inspiring visuals that help man push the boundaries of their conscious mind.

Ali Akber
Ali Akbar graduated as a textile designer in 2008 from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture. His overall career has been based on product development related to home décor and fashion accessories. He has been actively involved in trend research, designing, merchandizing, sourcing and marketing. His work is also significantly established on empowerment of TWDs (people with disabilities) and under privileged artisans.
